We Are Green

We walk the talk. Our passion for treading lightly on the environment does not stop with our high-performing designs and LEED accredited staff. Besides being one of the early adopters of LEED, we operate our business with sustainability in mind. Here are just a few examples:

Our Office:
When we set up our new office, we were guided by green decisions. Learn about a few and other on-going initiatives at our blog.

When our computers and other computer equipment reach the end of their useful life, we donate them to Free Geek Vancouver for ethical recycling.

We use Steelcase’s Think Chair, which is made of 37% recycled content, is 98% recyclable, is rated Cradle to Cradle Silver, is SCS Indoor Advantage Gold Certified, and is really pretty to boot!

In lieu of printed holiday cards, we make an annual donation to the David Suzuki Foundation in support of their work towards a healthier environment. We are also monthly donors to the organization

Transportation:
Our office is located at the heart of Vancouver’s bike and transit network. Our use of alternative transportation reduces the pollution and land development impacts resulting from automobile use.  The Dunsmuir bikeway is less than 1 block from our front door, as well one of the City’s new ‘bike corrals’.  We are also within four blocks of the Canada Line Skytrain, the Expo Skytrain, the West Coast Express, the Sea Bus, and almost every bus route in the downtown core.

We are members of Modo The Car Coop, which is a car sharing cooperative. We use Modo to get to places we can’t bike, transit, or walk to, or when we need the extra carrying capacity.
